HISTORY

The flag was designed for the Mornington Fire Brigade by Harry Downward who had a long association with MFB (1942 to 1989). He was the Secretary twice for a total of 10 years service, took a turn manning the fire brigade phone from his home in the formative years of communications and designed the life membership medal. He received his own life membership in 1981.

DESCRIPTION

A flag is flying on a pole. It has a pale grey background with bronze coloured bell and lettering. The upper letters start Mornington and then a fold hides further letters. The lower line says “Service to the Community”.
