HISTORYThe Moorooduc Bush Fire Brigade came into formal existence when the Mornington Brigade split into four - Mornington, Moorooduc, Mt Eliza and Mt Martha Bush Fire Brigades. These Brigades were part of the Western Port Group of Fire Brigades. It was an active brigade and soon outgrew its first home. This new building was erected in 1969 and served the community for twenty years. Land was bought in 1989 on which to build a new (third) Fire Station and a second building to be the headquarters of the Western Port Group of Fire Brigades.
DESCRIPTIONTwo sheds stand together on flat land beside a road and in front of a stand of mature trees. The shed on the left is a large, grey square building with a gabled roof. It’s facade is grey vertical corrugated iron surrounding a very wide door. The shed on the right is the old Nissen hut which was the first Moorooduc Fire Station (see 1288.1).
