HISTORYThis building is the gate house to the house originally called Manyung which is a Gothic revival complex of buildings including an historic house, outbuildings and the gate house. The whole complex was built in the 1860s for Richard Grice , is set in farmland and is one of the early bayside mansions in the Mornington and Mount Eliza Group. It remained in private hands until 1946 when it was purchased by Norman Myer as a recreational property for the use of Myer employees and its name was changed to Norman Lodge. It has been restored and extended by its current owner (c2013) .
DESCRIPTIONA small white Gothic revival house behind a low, white picket fence with closed double gates and a gravel entrance. It is surrounded by trees including a eucalypt, a fine specimen of a pine tree and shrubs. It stands beside a main road with an asphalted surface.
