HISTORYThe main building is the Courthouse built in 1860. Petty Sessions and Revision Courts were held in this building which was in use until 1988. The building fell into disrepair but was saved by the Friends of the Courthouse and after restoration it is now tenanted by a Tourist Bureau. The shed houses the outside toilets.
DESCRIPTIONThe photograph is taken from the rear and shows a substantial building of stone with a slate roof and a smaller shed of fibro cement with a metal roof. The main part of the building is double gabled with a slate roof. The middle section is the larger and has three windows set in the side wall. The rear section is smaller with one window. on the side wall and a simple door at the rear. There is a chimney set in the roof at the rear of the middle section. The shed has corrugated iron fences on either side. There is a wooden door on the left. The buildings stand on flat lawn and there is a paved path at the rear of the buildings. Portion of a stone building can be seen across a road.
