HISTORY

Mornington Bowling Club was first established on the foreshore reserve near the Royal Hotel in about 1917. Cr.Linley was one of the instigators. However watering had to be done by hand - Mornington had no reticulated water supply at that time - and with very little help available due to the war the club lapsed. In 1923 it was restarted successfully, the greens being watered via the new town water supply.

DESCRIPTION
