HISTORYThis looks a very conservative wedding party, with long sleeves and gloves. It appears to be taken in the 1930’s. Rene’s maiden name was Allison, perhaps related to one of the pioneer familes. Nurse Allison worked as a nurse, and advertised her hospital in the local paper.
DESCRIPTIONThis photograph shows a wedding party. The group consists of a bride, groom, two bridesmaids, and a little girl maid of honour. The three women each have a head dress. The bride has a flowered tiara, and the bridesmaids have a plainer version. They have long gowns, and large bouquets. There are three men shown, the groom and two groomsmen. The men are carrying white gloves. The little maid of honour is holding a basket of flowers.
