HISTORY

Post Newspapers Pty. Ltd once inhabited this building. James O Watt, and his wife Bunty were the main proprietors of this business. The building was originally built by George Ikinger industries but was later sold to Repco, as a car spare parts warehouse and depot. During construction the timber frame blew down one night during a storm, but it was quickly restored and very well, to be able to withstand the vigourous activity of the young within its wall. The Shire bought it in 1965.
