HISTORY

Mornington School in 1921 was attended both by Margery Green, and Dorothy Green. Mornington State School No 2033 opened in 1878 with 80 pupils. Additions were made in 1908. By the 1980’s it had become overcrowded and additions were made.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a group on 64 children arranged in four tiers. The male teacher is standing on the left of the photo, he is suited with a high collar shirt and tie. In the back ground is the school which is built of brick, and three sash windows are visible. The front row of children are sitting cross legged on the ground.
