HISTORY

Donated by Libby Gilchrist, great neice of Edith Hilda Hedges, to whom it belonged. Edith Heges b. March 1886 - SA - lived in Sackville St., Kew. Family came to Sorrento by steamer for holidays - rented 3223 Nepean Highway. Edith purchased the property in Jan 1952 - left the house to Patrick John Robertson (her nephew and donor's father)

DESCRIPTION

Steamer trunk: large wooden metail tin trunk with convex lid, timber struts and 3metal clasps. Inside, a paper covered drawer, divided into 4 boxes with lids and leather straps
