Probably donated to N.H.S. photograph collection by a member in the early days of the Society, c. 1970.

DESCRIPTION

Shop on corner of George Street and Ocean Beach Road, c. 1900. The main sign reads "HOLMES, Baker & Confectioner" with a sign at the R H S which reads "G .Sutton/Baker & Pastrycook/Picnic Parties Supplied/ Afternoon Tea" and below that "Summer Drinks". The building could also be a dwelling, as there is a large window obviously connected to the shop and a smaller window on the left which is covered by a curtain and has a blind.
