HISTORY

This tapestry was commissioned by Mrs Pauline Powell to commemorate Rye’s 150th anniversary. The original hangs on the north wall of the Museum Room.

DESCRIPTION

Photographs show the 150th Rye Tapestry. There are three separate panels that show Rye in 3 stages over 150 years. They depict buildings, flora, shipping, community groups and names of families.
