HISTORY

In early April 2003, a small pair of shoes, found under the foundations of “Whitecliffs Cottage” (Cain family residence) in Rye. The shoes are presumed to date from the 1890s.

DESCRIPTION

Pair of children’s leather shoes. Upper section of each shoe is composed of several pieces of brown leather. Soles and heels made of leather. Straps have been lost. (Refer to Treatment Report for full description)
