HISTORY

An allotment of 62 acres was acquired by Edward Ford of Dromana in 1881 (Crown Grant). The land was transferred to James Ford in 1896. It then passed to Eliza Ford. The property left the Ford family in 1912.
It is of regional significance for its ability to demonstrate the early land settlement process, way of life and building techniques once common but now represented in very few Peninsula buildings.
