A group of young people at a Debutante Presentation Ball, which was arranged by the Guild of St Mark’s Church of England and held in Balnarring Hall. The debutantes and their partners were (left to right)
Margaret Mc Queen and her brother Ray Booth, Louise Fritsh and Bruce Henzell, Heather Mc Queen and Roy Linissen, Mandy Nuske and Edward Fritsch, Kaye Herbert and Chris Roughley, Sally Fritsch and Michael Ashley, Jane Paton and Steve Raines, Alison Wiseman and Bruce Herbert. The flower girls seated in front of the group were Julie, Diane and Robin Hutley.
The Debutantes were presented to the Dean and Mrs Thomas by Mr Jim S??? who acted as the master of ceremonies for the evening.
Ten young couples in formal attire, all girls wearing white ball gowns and four younger girls posing for the photograph in three rows.
