Somers 1941. Firefighters at Coolart.
Fire broke out originally inlagoon area during drought season. It was decided to clear away and burn woody matter. Peat caught fire and burned for days until a high wind ignited sparks when the fire surfaced at a different point. Old shearing shed was burned. K Roberts, M Luxton, Roffey.
