HISTORY

Merricks North, 1968. Tubba Rubba Park: official opening. Opened on October 12th, 1968 the reserve was once known as ‘Cemetery Reserve’. It was the burial place of a Chinese man who was murdered at the Tubba Rubba goldfield. It is an isolated pocket of indigenous vegetation which was once a heathlano date. It is maintained by a management committee.
