HISTORY

Balnarrig State School 1698 - a weatherboard building was erected on 5 acres at 89 Balnarring Road in 1876 by Paul Vansuylen the contracted builder. It accomodated 40 pupils and had an attached two room residence for the teacher. It cost 242 pounds 11 shillings and eight pence and 20 pounds extra for the iron roof.
