Balnarring Beach 2001. Fresh water hole in Merricks Creek, known locally as ‘The Eel Hole’.
The Eel Hole was a deep spring fed pool, a popular swimming hole and host to a plentiful population of eels. It was located along Library Road opposite Barrett Lane / Mason Smith Street.
