HISTORY

Balnarring Beach, 2001. Beach house in Mason Smith Road.
Built c.1930 the house was a simple weatherboard structure with ceilings of flattened tin. Mrs Edwards and her family lived there from the 1940s while her husband served in the 1939-1945 War. She ran a Tea House from this site in the 1950s.
‘The only house damaged by gun fire in the whole of the Peninsula during the war.’
