Machine, sewingHand-operated black metal sewing machine set into a wooden base with decorative inlay along one side. Manufacturer's name is included in the inlay. Machine has elaborate gold decoration with manufacturer`s plate screwed to the machine. The turning handle has a white plastic end which does not seem to be original. Comes in a box.
ScalesLong narrow cast iron scales with a ring at the top to hang from the wall and a hook at the other end to hang the commodity being weighed. The hook is attached to a spring inside the scales. The front is a brass plate screwed to the scales with the measuring gauge up to 60 lb. On the plate are the words "No 2 Salter's improved spring balance" British made to weigh 40 lb"(in upper case).
