Balnarring 1870s. Septimus Planck (1839-1920).Septimus Miller Planck (1839-1920) was the first head teacher of Balnarring’s first shool. Born 1861 in Hampton, London, he migrated to Australia in 1863/4 under the Land Grants scheme. He first settled in Queensland, then moved to Victoria. He arrived in Balnarring district in 1871.
