Merricks 1940. State School students.Merricks 1940. The school (No 4068) On Merricks Road was one of the small local rural schools that closed in 1950 when the Red Hill consolidated School began operating. The teacher in 1940: Howard Francis. The school was located on the eastern side of Merricks Road, just north of the creek.
