Railway crossing, 1960This image shows a long, straight, gravel road disappearing into the distance. Paddocks and trees are on either side of the road. Level railway crossing signs and fencing are half-way along the road. Two tall poles are beside the rail line on the left-hand side of the road. Part of a motor vehicle is in the foreground.
Street scene, c. 2000This photograph was taken standing in front of a large garden of pink flowers, looking down a busy shopping street. People are walking along the footpaths and street and motor vehicles are coming and going in each direction as well as parked on both sides of the road. A set of pedestrian and street lights are in the middle of the street. The Australia Post shop is on the far left-hand side.
High Street, Hastings, 1937This image shows a street scene. A hotel is on the corner on the right hand side and shop fronts can be seen lining both sides of the street. Motor cars are parked on either side of the street and a light coloured car can be seen driving towards the camera. The following is printed across the bottom of the photograph: “The Rose Series P. 13940 High Street, Hastings, Vic.”.
