HISTORY

Commemorative medal for Anzac Day 1918. This badge was one of a collection of badges and medals collected by Mrs May Cochran and consists mainly of memorabilia associated with the Great War (W.W.I) and commemorative events in the early twentieth century history of Australia and Victoria.

DESCRIPTION

Circular bronze medal embossed on both sides. On the front is a silhouette of a bust of an Australian soldier, surrounded by the words "Honor to the A.I.F." On the back is a scroll with a branch of leaves behind with the words "Gallipoli France Palestine", with the letters EVD above and the words Anzac Day 1918 below.
