HISTORY

Presented to Mrs. Peddle by the officers and members of the Hastings Battery, April 6th 1898. Mrs. Peddle was married to a member of the Hastings 40-pounder Battery.

DESCRIPTION

Ornate marble clock has a rectangular solid base with a curved upper edge. The circular clock face is metallic with black numerals set on a white background. The two black hands and winding mechanism are mounted on a central brass disc. The upper body of the clock is of black rectangular shaped marble with beige-grey marble inlay. An inscription reads "Mrs. Peddle from the Officers Non-Comsd Officers and members of the Hastings Battery. April 6th 1898"
